I realize that 2 posts in one day is a bit shocking coming from me but I read an article a couple days ago that I wanted to share…….. I just thought is was well done and sends the focus of arguments on social hot buttons and other peripheral things back where it belongs: The authority of Scripture. What does Gods Word say? Are we basing our ideas and arguments on man’s ideas or Gods’ Word.

Thanks for sharing...I really like how the author points out that these "hot-button" issues are not the problem but the symptom of something else. I think it's easy to get hung up on the things people do rather than the reason they do them. And at the heart of that reason is either a rejection of or an ignorance about the existence of absolute truth and the Bible as the basis for this truth.
