Triumph

Well, thanks to a little over-the-phone coaching, I got my picture up! What triumph and exhilaration, oh the sweetness of success, Ah! I wonder what she charges!?!?!?! JK! Thanks Courtney!!! I think that I am having too much fun tweaking my page. Templates, layout, Fonts & colors...... oh, I just LOVE fonts & colors! :o) There are just so many options!

So, beyond humility, that moment of frustration brought about exhilaration! Lol!

O.k., so back to being serious. I wasted an embarrassing amount of time today trying to get a more recent picture of myself. I am decidedly UN-photogenic! (at least that is my excuse.... :o) This is not a new revelation by any means but was rather irritating today. I find that it is hard to get good lighting for a self portrait. I am sure that there are tricks for that too.......

I have a post wandering around in my brain. I think that I will be able to post it soon. I can't tell you how much fun I am having with this blog. It is so nice to have a creative outlet that doesn't include cooking for those with food allergies! I tell myself daily that I have no creativity but this place makes it easy to pretend! :o)

Well, the kids are supposed to be cleaning their room but, from the sounds of things, are going to need my encouragement. Sometimes it is hard to remember what you went in your bedroom for, you know? I mean, I don't have a bedroom so I can't imagine but my kids seem to have that problem every time I tell them to clean their room! :o) Then again I have that problem when cleaning too, so maybe it is genetic!

  1. I have a really old picture of myself on my blog simply for the fact that I am usually the one taking pics. and therefore do not have many of myself and all the self portraits I've attempted I wouldn't show to anyone.
I am waiting anxiously for the blog that is yet to be...

  2. Your picture and welcome box look fabulous, my dear! I don't think it would be in my interest to charge for my services :o).

I, too, have a profile picture that is a year old and should probably get someone to take a new one since my hair has grown out a bunch since then. But honestly, I don't think it is possible to take a self-portrait and not have it look like a self-portrait! I think it takes really long arms. Or someone who has great talent with the tripod/timer stuff.

And I, for one, have never believed your continual declarations of being "not creative." I'm just waiting for you to realize your inner artist :o).
